Welcome to the nrw museums platform!
Constantly expanding, the nrw museums platform is evolving into an extensive virtual collection of modern and contemporary art across 20 museums in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). The aim of the digital platform is to enable visitors to explore the collection interactively, wherever they are. There is information on the content of the artworks, which are linked by theme. With biographies of the artists represented, texts on the museums, cities and towns, and the option to build up your own individual collections, we offer professionals and art lovers alike a wealth of information and services. Finally, our details of current exhibitions, related news items and blog will keep you up to date with what’s going on in NRW.
Targeted search by artist, medium/art form, year of creation and location.
Visit the curated collections, which gather over 450 works into 15 guiding themes, and discover the links between the content and form of artistic positions spanning the different museums.
Here you will find the latest news, details of upcoming events and exhibitions, as well as a journal which acts as our blog.
You will find all the important details of things like text credits, links, contact, legal and site information under the tab more
